I have gotten to watch these sisters grow the last few years, and when they said they wanted to do this year's photo shoot in the snow, I was all for it! With our unpredictable Colorado winter, we had to be patient and wait for some snow to arrive. Sure enough, it came on a weekend in December.
We chose a location in the foothills near Coal Creek Canyon, and it did not disappoint! The blanketed hills, snow-dusted meadow and frosty pines created a winter wonderland. Hannah, Madeline and their mother chose white outfits, which went wonderfully with the wintery scene. The girls were great sports braving the cold! The rock faces and dark pines of the mountains created interesting contrast, and I loved the way Madeline's dark hair stood out against the snow.
Winter may just be my new favorite season for photos!
