Kyliegh was set to graduate from Legacy High School in the spring, and we decided to shoot her senior photo session in Golden, Colorado. As it often goes in Colorado in any season that's not summer, the weather was a concern leading up to our scheduled date. The morning of was still foggy and cold, but miraculously by the late afternoon it was beautiful and sunny.
We began our senior portrait adventure by walking downtown where we found some fun old architecture to work with. We found some great doorways that made neat backdrops for posing. Next, we found some nice brick buildings, where we got some shots with an urban feel.
I love the character of the buildings in downtown golden and the historical architectural details. Kylie's chosen senior girl outfit of jeans, a sweater and boots fit the scene perfectly.

Next we headed to the Golden History Park to continue Kylie's Colorado senior portrait session. I always love the texture from the wood on the old buildings there.
The sun came out, so we had some beautiful light in the tall grasses and behind Kylie's blonde hair. Her second outfit of black jeans and a white top was a perfect choice. I always like to get a variety of full length, waist-up and head shots.
With the river nearby, we had to get some bridge shots for Kylie's image gallery to round out her album. We also made the trek to finish at a super cool metal bridge at the other end of town, and I love the black and white images that I got.
The final gallery turned out amazing, and her senior portrait album is something she will cherish forever and be able to share with others down the road.
